This website tells the story of the hurricane that devastated Galveston Island off the coast of Texas in 1900. This was the worst natural disaster in United States history. The storm and storm surge killed between 5,000 and 10,000 people. This site tries to identify with more than just a name each of the people who perished in the storm.
